RBIF Events

Much of the RBIF’s fundraising centres around the Burns Supper held in January, but we do much more than that during the year. Below you can read about our annual sponsorship of the “Wee Burns” held at St. Columba’s Church in Budapest, our charity BBQ at the end of the summer.

2023 Burns Supper

The 26th Annual Budapest Burns Supper will be held on Saturday 28 January 2023 at the Corinthia Hotel.

Another evening of fine food, fine wine, the inevitable whisky or two, and some traditional Scottish entertainment await the 300+ guests who will attend this year.

Tickets will go on sale from 9am on 28 November 2022, and can be ordered through this website.

Corporate sponsorship packages are also available, and details can be requested by sending an email to [email protected].

RBIF Summer BBQ

At the end of summer the RBIF holds its Annual BBQ.

Attended by more than 100 people, including many children, the BBQ is the RBIF’s first summer event. The idea is to organise an afternoon for families, where the friends and supporters of the RBIF can also bring along their children to enjoy some quality time together with good food, drinks and plenty for the kids to do.

The BBQ is hosted at the Chefparade Country venue in Etyek, just 30 minutes outside Budapest. Led by Chef Paul Mizener, the team of chefs prepare a fantastic menu of BBQ food, with something for everyone.

The venue in Etyek offers a huge grassy area for the kids to run around and play in, always in full view of the Chefparade terrace.

Most things we do are with fundraising in mind, and thanks in part to our sponsors the BBQ raises money which is allocated to one of the RBIF’s current projects for the year.
